“If you’ve ever wondered what it would sound like if your favourite video game characters got together and formed a band, it would probably sound something like the Runaway Four.”

Vancouver’s The Runaway Four were conceived as a mixtape love-letter to classic video game themes, old and new. The four piece synth-rock outfit takes an eclectic, all-inclusive approach to crafting tight and clever medleys that will appeal to gamers of all ages and tastes. Each arrangement develops a theme or narrative exploring the history and tropes of well-loved video games, with an immersive live performance incorporating intricate costumes and dazzling synchronized visuals.

Since 2014, The Runaway Four have been blowing away venues full of satisfied geeks of all stripes at various cons and fests all over Western Canada and the United States, from Prince George to Los Angeles and everywhere in between, making notable appearances at such events as Vancouver Retro Gaming Expo, Anime Revolution, MAGFest and MAGWest. They’ve shared the stage with such acts as Video Games Live, Powerglove and Kirby’s Dream Band. With four independently produced releases, The Runaway Four have established themselves as a unique and diverse presence on the international video game music scene.
